Three Waves of AI

How do we make sense of the hype and fears surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). In fact, what even is AI, and how does it work? Here’s a 16 minute video I made while at DARPA on the Three Waves of AI, that provides a framing for past, present, and future efforts in AI. Cyber Security

Our systems are becoming more secure – so long as we make good choices about the equipment we install and the ways in which we connect them. However, it’s often hard to think about different kinds of security failures and how they relate to one another. Here’s a talk on how I thought about the various dimensions of the cyber security challenge, given at USENIX Enigma in 2017.
